Meet Save The Parish's new caseworker
A message from Save The Parish founder Alison Milbank
I’m delighted to announce that with funding from supporters like yourself and a generous grant from the Fellowship of St John the Evangelist we have been able to appoint a consultant caseworker, Ruth Schofield, who brings a wealth of experience to this task. Revd Ruth Schofield is a priest in the Church of England and currently ministers with PtO in eight rural churches in Portsmouth Diocese. Before ordination, Ruth was a railway engineer. She is married to John, and they have two adult children. She has served as Team Vicar, Rector and Area Dean in various settings, and has experience of rural and suburban ministry in two dioceses. Ruth says, “I have a pastoral heart, and long to see people and the churches where they worship flourish. I look forward to contributing to the important work of Save the Parish”. Save the Parish receives many requests for advice and support from all over the country, and this is a really worthwhile area of our work, although the volume required has been testing because we are all volunteers. You may email Ruth directly at caseworker@savetheparish.com or emails to the usual help@savetheparish.com will be passed on. We hope that Ruth’s appointment will enable us to respond even more effectively to the ocean of need in our parishes and to make you feel properly supported and cared for.
